Moulton Lions Club

The Moulton Lions Club meets every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month 6:00 p.m. at the Lion’s Club building.  This is are a very active club that host the Lawrence County Fair and the Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival.  They have several fundraising activities over the year including Swamp John’s that help fund projects such as:  children early detection test for hearing and sight, camps for youth learning to deal with diabetes, the “Here and Now” program designed to help distribute healing aids to individuals and training our youth leadership skills through Leo Clubs.

Moulton Civitan International meets the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month at various restaurants.  The organization hosts “Taste of our Town” in the spring and uses proceeds from the event to provide Christmas for underprivileged children and seniors in Lawrence County.  The organization also builds wheelchair ramps.

Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.  The organization meets every Thursday 12:00 noon at Western Sirloin in Moulton.

Moulton Civic and Social Club

The goal of this club is to grant scholarships to assist young individuals with a desire to attend college but lack the necessary funding to do so.  They donate to the American Cancer Society every year and give a minority education scholarship of $1,000.00 to a graduating senior every fall through the Lawrence County Board of Education.

Pilot Club of Lawrence County

This is a brand new club chartered by The Pilot Club of Decatur in 2010.  Pilot International’s signature program is BrainMinders “Protecting Your Brain for Life.”  This program encompasses many areas from educating children in Pre-K to senior adults and Alzheimer Units. The “Play Safe, Play Smart” program uses entertaining puppets and costumes to thrill their audiences as well as the performers.  Pilots also partner with local law enforcement to provide Project Lifesaver to families with children or adults who suffer from a wandering syndrome often due to Alzheimer’s, traumatic brain injury and/or brain disorders.
